In concert with the Ford Motor Company, and Maisto International, official licensee of the 50th Anniversary 2015 Ford Mustang, a limited production run of no greater than 1964 pieces is offered here, of a 1/18th scale high quality and detailed replica in Kona Blue.
Production of the actual 50th Anniversary Edition of the 2015 Mustang was limited to the same quantity, in Wimbledon White or Kona Blue. In keeping with this decision, that will be the maximum number of this limited production run of only Kona Blue.
The threshold goal is the minimum amount required to insure production, it does not represent the full quantity of 1964 pieces. Upon achievement of the goal, there will be a brief window of opportunity to purchase additional units. Once that cut off date is established no further order can be accepted, as the quantity would be set and changes, no longer possible.
This model has a greater piece count that customary die cast models giving it added details, to the engine and interior cabin. The hood, doors and trunk lid all open, to allow an uninhibited view of the inner works. The steering actually moves the real rubber tires of the front wheels.
Every detail of the unique 50th Anniversary Mustang appearance package is captured, bumper to bumper, from the rims, front quarter panels and gas cap, every model emblem and marker is there, all approved by Ford Motor Company.
The final product will be packed into a custom foam insert made just for this model. Package will be four color and a Certificate of Authenticity citing the total production may be included, designs will be provided upon reaching the project base goal after submission for approval.
The namesake vehicle of this replica sold out quickly, with the last production unit being sold at the Barrett Jackson Las Vegas Auction for more than $170,000.00, Proceeds from sale benefit Get Your Heart Racing program to support Henry Ford Health System's Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute.
